I just found this on someone else's blog and I thought I would test the effectiveness of my bilingual diploma! Perhaps my friends out there who live in a more bilingual part of Canada than I can test me:
1) Quelle heure est-il ?: 10:08 AM according to my computer, 10:00 exactly according to my watch.
2) Si tu tends le bras, quelle est la première chose que tu touches ?: To the left, the wall and a phone number listing for all the sports in BC; to the right, a post it pad and a calculator; in front, a hot cross bun - yum!
3) Qu'y à t-il sur les murs de ta chambre ?: a painting of a loon - of course. Nothing else I'm sad to say.
4) Le style de déco de ta chambre ?: Utilitarian? We don't really have a style there. Not enough room.
5) Quel est la dernière chanson que tu aies entendue aujourd'hui ?: I don't remember.
6) As-tu des piercings ou tatouages ?: Yes
7) Comment es-tu habillé aujourd'hui ?: Very scrubby for work! I've got on my maternity corduroy pants (green) and a blue rugby sweater/shirt.
8) Dernière sortie entre potes ?: I don't understand this question! What is "entre potes"?
9) Prochaine sortie prévue ?: See above!
10) As-tu quelque chose à te reprocher ?: I like to eat at McDonalds.
11) Quelle est ta couleur préférée ?: Midnight blue.
12) Jusqu'où serais-tu capable d'aller par amour ?: If I understand this correectly it wants to know how far I can go on love? To the ends of the earth of course.
13) As-tu déjà testé des substances illégales ?: yes
14) Bois-tu souvent de l'alcool ?: Not right now. Actually I don't usually. Just special occasions.
15) Si tu pouvais rencontrer quelqu'un de connu, ça serait qui ?: Oprah Winfrey, Madonna, Elton John
16) Allez, décris-toi au réveil ?: Half-asleep until I get in the shower.
17) Quelles langues parles-tu ?: English, I can speak French but don't really like to (far too self-conscious!), spanish, sign language (ASL), and very minute quantities of russian.
18) Qu'est-ce-que c'est sur ton fond d'écran d'ordinateur ?: squiggly lines
19) Quelle est l'expression que tu utilises le plus souvent? You'd have to ask the people who have to listen to me say it!!!
